GDPR
Last updated: September 19, 2026
This page summarizes how the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to your data at BestEssays and how you can use your rights. The full details are in the Privacy Policy, and this page follows it.
Controller
PVexperts, which operates the BestEssays.com website, is the controller of your personal data. If your account came from another website operated by the Company, the same controller remains responsible for it. Questions and requests go to support@bestessays.com.
Legal Bases
Every use of your data rests on one of four legal bases:
- contract, to run your account and your orders, answer your questions about them and send service emails;
- legitimate interests, to process payments, prevent fraud, keep the service secure, answer other inquiries, measure and improve the website and, where the law allows, send promotional emails;
- legal obligation, to keep payment and accounting records and to respond to lawful requests from authorities;
- consent, where the law requires it, for promotional emails.
Your Rights
These rights apply within the limits the law sets, for example where records have to be kept. You have the right to:
- access the personal data the Company holds about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict how your data is used;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to the use of your data, including for direct marketing;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
Requests
Write to support@bestessays.com from the email address linked to your account. The Company may ask you to confirm your identity and will answer within one month. A verified deletion request is completed within 14 days, except for records that the law requires the Company to keep. You can also change some details yourself in your account, such as your phone number, country and time zone, and switch off promotional emails there.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, please tell Support first so the Company can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example in the country where you live or work.
Retention
Account and order records are kept while your account is in use and afterwards only as long as disputes, accounting and legal obligations require, and no longer than 10 years after your last use of the service. Records of visits and of order form use are kept for 13 months, and an email address typed into the order form without an order being placed is kept for up to 45 days.
Further Information
The Privacy Policy explains what the Company collects, who receives it, how international transfers are protected and which cookies the website uses. The Terms and Conditions cover the service itself.
