Definition of Conclusion and its Functions.
When finishing your speech in front of people, you sum up the points you have made and prove that the idea you support is right and trustworthy. These are the main principles of the conclusion. A conclusion is a final paragraph of an essay, composed to summarize the main idea of the subject, to restate your opinion in different words, to make general comments, to express your feelings etc. Functions of conclusion are to prove or rebut the main statement depending on the type of the essay. As any other segment of an essay, conclusion has its unique structure.
