Argumentative essay feedback

"I am very satisfied with my argumentative essay. I say this without any reservations. The writer did a good job on this essay. I dont think he or somebody else could have done better. I did a fair amount of clean up on the paper while doing my rewrite. This is exactly what I expected and hoped for. I have got what I want and what I need on time, with all questions answered, right in the topic. I would surely recommend your essay writing service to other students. Thanks!"

There are many types of essay but the most common types are informative, persuasive and argumentative.
An informative essay is a paper aimed to inform or educate on a given topic (to give facts, to present the research, to define a term and so on).
Persuasive essay writing has the primary intention to show that your argument is true, to convince the reader on a particular matter.
There are following argumentative compositions: 1. advantages and disadvantages, 2. expressing opinions/providing solutions to problems, 3. expressing arguments for and against a topic, 4. compare and contrast something or somebody.
What does a process of writing any type of essay consist of?
  • Planning Stage.
Take some time before jumping into writing! Plan your actions step by step.
  • Find a Good Topic
The argumentative essay should introduce and explain the issue or case which is understandable for readers.
So ask yourself if the topic you choose is contemporary and relevant, and if it is of great value for you to cover.
Gather evidences and take your position. e.g. Divorce is sometimes a solution to marital problems.
  • Write your first paragraph
The most common structure for essay writing is the five-paragraph essay: an introductory paragraph, three evidentiary body paragraphs that may include discussion of opposing views and a conclusion.
So everything starts with clear, concise, and defined Thesis Statement.
e.g. Students should not work while they are going to school.
Inform the reader of your point of view and inspire to continue with the rest of the paper!
  • Present both sides of the controversy in the body
Brainstorm as many ideas/arguments as you can in favour of your opinion on a scrap of paper. Remember you will need to say why you believe in these ideas. Then plan out your paragraphs. You can use the following structure:
    I. Pro(for/in support of) argument: (weakest argument that supports your opinion)
II. Pro(for/in support of) argument: (stronger argument that supports your opinion)
III. Pro(for/in support of) argument: (strongest argument that supports your opinion)
IV. Con (against/negative) (Counter/oppose arguments and your refutation)
To write your body paragraphs in a better manner try to use the following rules:
    • Avoid strong feelings (don't say: nobody does this, or it is impossible to disagree with me)
    • Do not use generalization (e.g. everybody believes that...)
    • Do not use strong personal expressions (e.g. I think)
    • Use linking words (e.g. therefore, although, however etc.)
    • Use sequencing (e.g. firstly, secondly, lastly)
    • Make reference to other sources (e.g. The government claims that…) Don't make up evidences!
    • Give examples - not personal thoughts (e.g. products such as sprayer can destroy the environment)
    • Give up banal introductions. Write something more original (Don't write: This topic has been important since ancient times. When?)
  • Conclusion
Conclude by giving a well-balanced consideration. It can be a summary-answer to your thesis sentence, solution, prediction, or recommendation.
At the end you should spend some time to edit your essay and check for spelling/grammar mistakes. It would be great if your friends could read it and make some comments. Were they convinced? What was not convincing? And only after that you may hand in your perfect essay.
